The Night Golf League 2005
Sponsored by First Motors – Hyundai

The ten week Night Golf League 2005, sponsored by First Motors, the exclusive dealers of Hyundai in the Kingdom of Bahrain came to a spectacular end with a head to head battle between the Norfolk N’ Goode and the Red Devils in a final Teas Scramble style game involving all competitors. Norfolk N’ Goode came out as the all round champions with the First Motors team who also competed in the event coming in third position. Mark Gravener, General Manager of First Motors presented the winning team with specially engraved trophies and assorted other awards.

The First Motors Hyundai Night Golf League kicked of on 8 March, 2005 and comprised of 20 teams in total where 10 teams played every Tuesday evening and the other 10 played on Wednesdays for a period of nine consecutive weeks until the Grand Final, which was held on Wednesday 11 May, 2005.

The Inter College Football Championship for U.O.B's

First Motors, the official dealer and distributor for Hyundai in the Kingdom of Bahrain, sponsored the Inter college Football Championship for the University of Bahrain's (U.O.B) continuing their association with the Student Affairs department.

Having provided support for equipment and team uniforms as well as trophies for the first second and third place teams, this tournament ran over the course of a week in April.

Following on from this successful activity, First Motors were invited back in May to support a four sport tournament including Handball, Football, Basketball and Tennis, where the University of Bahrain competed against colleges from other Universities, including representation from Oman and Kuwait.

A new team for Zayani Motors



A new Zayani Motors Raft-Race team participated in `Bahrain Raft Race' event organized by Rotary Club of Salmaniya that was held at Al Bander Resort on Friday 22nd April, 2005. “The team members displayed commendable competency while comparing with the rival teams who had at least a minimum 7 years and above experience in similar events," commented Mr Riyadh Ahmed - Captain of Zayani Motors Raft Race team who has also promised to lead the team towards victory in the future up-coming similar events. Good Luck ZM team!
