Zayani Motors, the exclusive distributor of Mitsubishi, Peugeot, MG and FUSO in the Kingdom recently organised a trip to Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) in the city of Chennai, India, for a group of business men.
Zayani Motors group was warmly received at the factory where they were given an overview of DICV and their product portfolio as well as given an open platform to interact with brand officials. The visiting group was also given an expansive tour of the plant, witnessing how Fuso trucks are made, after which they were invited to test drive diverse types of vehicles produced in the facility first hand such as FA, FI, FJ, TV and the latest Canter. The trip provided an informative and practical experience to those present.
The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility of DICV manufactures Mitsubishi Fuso trucks and buses under the umbrella of Daimler Asia, producing the Fuso trucks which are exclusively imported and distributed by Zayani Motors in Bahrain. The highly automated plant spans across an impressive 400 acres and is equipped with modern management systems.
Getting to witness the production and assembly provided a level of familiarity and knowledge, which will doubtlessly better serve their business needs and requirements, in addition to bringing a new appreciation of the effort and the capacity to manufacture these vehicles.
The group was accompanied by General Manager of Zayani Motors Mr Mohammed Zaki and Fuso Sales Manager, Mr. Girish Vinayak Bhide and Marketing Manager, Ms Samya Al-Kindi. Commenting on the occasion, Mr Zaki said: “It was a new and interesting experience. The trip demystified the process of how the trucks are made and gave a general idea of how the DICV facility ran its efficient operations.”
